So this week was a fairly busy week and I missed quite a bit of school because of it. I had a field trip, then a music festival. Since I had to practice piano a lot, I didn't exactly read. Also, I borrowed a guitar from school and I now have blisters on my fingers. Oh and one more thing that I forgot to mention last week, I got an award at my school for Reader of the Month! Yay! :D There's really nothing else to say, have an awesome week! (How do you like the button?!)

  1. Along for the Ride! I read that one last week? I think? Maybe before that? Anyway, it was really good. I love Sarah Dessen! The guitar is ROUGH! Right when I had my playing where I liked it, I had a work accident and couldn't play for a long time -- I could barely play the piano, either. Now, I'm starting with the ukulele and working my way to the guitar. Good luck!

  2. I can't wait to read another one of her books! I just finished last night, it was so good. Did you hurt your hand?! The only time I couldn't play anything was when I tripped in a gopher hole and landed on my hand. Just twisted it, nothing serious. I really want to learn to play the ukulele too! I don't know, it has a cute name and it sounds cute as well... haha.

  3. I read What Happened to Goodbye and it was really good! Now I'm reading Lock & Key. I'm on a bit of a Sarah Dessen kick now. :)

And yeah, I worked at a grocery store and had an incident with the bread slicer -- you know, those machines where they put the whole loaf of bread in, slice it, and then the worker grabs it and bags it? Well, the VERY FAST-MOVING MACHINE and my fingers sort of collided and I had some major damage done. I was bandaged up for a long time and had to wait for, uh, things to grow back. It was PAINFUL. I do not recommend working around sharp machines when you play instruments!

Anyway, the ukulele is a LOT of fun and so much easier than guitar!

  6. I'll be borrowing her books from the library for now... but I'll probably buy her newest book when it comes out in June! :D

Oh my God. I'm so glad you're better now! I have a very non-pleasant image in my head right now.

You know how a guitar is tuned EBGDAE, how is a ukulele tuned? Or does it just depend on the song?

I really liked Along For The Ride. I thought it was a great story :) My favorite by her is definitely This Lullaby, though. Enjoy your book!
