[Book Blogger Hop] August 17-23

The Book Blogger Hop is held by Jen at Crazy For Books. Each week a question is posted for bloggers to answer, and also to hop on to other blogs and check out their answers. This week's question is...

What is one genre you will never read ?

I'm not sure about the NEVER part, but I won't read it for fun. It'd probably have to be a book purely based on religion. I'm an atheist, and I'm not really into reading things like that. I don't mean to offend anyone out there, it's just something that I don't enjoy. Oh and probably erotica.. just not my thing!!

  2. Christian genre is one I won't read either. I guess I just don't have any interest? No offense to anyone either of course :) We all have our own interests..which is what makes the world interesting right?

Have a great weekend and happy reading!

  3. I totally agree with you on the erotica. No thanks! And, although I am a religious person, I don't love religious fiction. I don't mind the occasional spiritually uplifting read, but only if it's well-written and not too preachy.

    Happy Hopping!

    1. Yea, once it gets preachy, it sort of puts me off.

  5. I don't read religious either...I didn't think to put that on my answer though! I am a religious person, I just don't care to read religious books.

    1. I just don't want to feel like they're shoving religion down my throat or anything.

  6. I agree. Even though I'm not an atheist (I'm an Episcopalian!) I don't like books with "Christian" themes and overtones. They feel forced to me and like there's an alternate agenda to the book outside of a good story.

  8. Personally for me it is Poetry...I don't like it and most of the time it just annoys me. And menage, I only need one other naked person in the room. http://tbr-io.blogspot.com/
